Born 1971 in Coburg, Germany

1973 He moves to Ebersberg in the wonderful countryside of upper Bavaria

12th of August 1980 John Lennon gests shot - The radio is playing Beatles all day long - Christian records everything with his monocassette-player

1985 He is being found by a Fender Jazz Bass and is still enjoying its company

He writes first songs with guitar and german lyrics and plays in Rock-and Jazzbands

He buys a 100 years old upright bass and since then he has kind of regulary blisters on his fingers


From '91 to '98 he is on the road as bassplayer:

'Peter Schneider Band' from Munich, 'Inn-Stinkt' from Wasserburg, engagement at the Theater in Chemnitz (Linie 1), countless gigs with different Jazzcombos, bassplayer of the Bavarian Youth Jazz Orchester

Contributions as upright player on the first 'Tied And Tickled Trio' album and on 'The Notwist' (Shrink)

Member of the funk and hip-hop band 'Germany's Most Blunted'

Not succeded efforts of studying: Philosophy at the Ludwig Maximilian University and Bass at the Richard Strauss Conservatory in Muich


1998 He moves to New York

Studies at the Jazz and Contemporary Music Department of the New School in Mannhatten

Lessons with Chico Hamilton, Reggie Workman and Kermit Driscoll

Founder of the pschychedelic drum and bass band 'SPACESHIP'

From 1999 he works as bass-sideman in New York with all possible and impossible bands and in all kind of situations

Gigs at the Knitting Factory, Baby Jupiter, C-Note, Izzy Bar, Pet's Candystore, Bottom Line, Living Room, CBGBs Gallery, Galapagos and many other clubs in Brooklyn and Manhatten

Bass-player of B-BLUSH and TONY JARVIS

Funding member of 'Friends Of Rummenigge' an italian-german garage-jazz band in Verona

2 years upright-bass lessons with Greg Cohen

He tours with different projects in Mexico, Greece, Italy, Germany, Bulgaria and Switzerland

After 4 years New York, 171 gigs for 20$ with 57 different bands, September 11 and all these american flags afterwards, growing visaproblems and upcoming homesickness he returns to Germany

2002 He moves to Berlin

Solo gigs with voice, upright bass and his original tunes

2003 Foundation of WAL and construction of the "HoleInTheWall Studio" in Friedrichshain, Berlin
