4° ALL JAZZ JAM
Review: After short notice it was decided that the house band for the 4th all jazz jam would be the musicians from the "Out To Lunch Trio". They definately lived up to everyone's expectation making the all-night jam a unique and very special night.
Dimitris Tsakas on saxes, Kostas Konstantinou on acoustic bass and Kostas Kouvidis on drums. Three outstanding musicians of the Athenian Jazz Scene, opened the jam with "The Sign", a composition by Dimitris Tsakas. Other musicians who came to participate then took their turns.
By 12pm the club was packed full. Musicians, old friends of the club but also many new 'faces' made their appearance in order to participate and experience the event.
The audience was great! Their attention, expectations, feedback, and enthusiasm, together with the help of the musicians themselves, ensured a smooth changeover of scenes at the bandstand. This fusion of audience and musicians together created a wonderful jazz night, which carried on until dawn.
Once over, someone might conclude that the evening was one of top quality continuous improvisation.

You have, once more, proved that Jazz in Greece is very much alive!
